Yearbooks

Yesterday, after Esther's dance class we went to my cousin Nash's birthday party. We had ice cream cake (yummmmmmmm) and we hung out. We went outside and played on bikes and scooters and roller blades, just talking. Some of my cousins even went off of a jump that they had. It was awesome. We will go back there on Friday to celebrate no more school.
Today, I was invited to a late nite on Friday and I got my yearbook. The whole school day was spent signing yearbooks and saying goodbye. I signed everybody's (almost) 'Stay cool! H.A.G.S. (have a great summer), Lizzie. And then I would say something nice about them.
I am on the computer to look up some activities we could do for EJ. The theme I'm in charge of is Food. I have so many great ideas, it covers three pages. Janessa and me still aren't done advertising for EJ and we really need to get a move on.
I need to go to Matthew's preschool graduation ceremony now. I'm sorry I didn't write as much as I normally do (lately) today. I'll write tomorrow though -it's field day.

5K

The special place my parents were talking about was... Overrating Skating Kingdom (not really, but it sounded good. I don't know what it's called. Probably something UN-original and boring like... I don't know.. Classic Skating...).
Anyways, it was awesome. We got a deal with a day pass and ten tokens for arcade. We skated awhile, Esther and Dad learned how to skate, and Mom and me had our laughs, while Matthew scootered. Then we took our tokens to the arcade section and played for awhile. I earned about seven and a half tickets per token (do the math), what with I got one stick of Juicy Fruit gum, a
container of goo, three x-treme sour candies (black cherry, apple, and watermelon), and a sapphire ring (my birthday stone), a bendy pencil, and a green hemisphere thing that pops.
After we skated some more, attempting to teach Matthew how to skate (and failing), we called it
quits and went to Sweet Tomatoes for dinner. It was very good. So, I had a great outing with my family.
Now it's time to hear about today...
I finished Fire of the Covenant!!! It was soooo good. During first period, I watched Finding Nemo again. During second period, we ran the 5K (walked it most of the time, actually). I walked with Janessa and Lizzy, my friend Rachael, and every so often we would run into Courtney and Danielle, or Kyra and Jaamy and walked with them for awhile. Everybody said it would be hard, but it wasn't so bad. We even ran the whole last stretch. Lunch was a container of Chex cereal and a banana.Third period was spent playing Pictionary (my team came in second place), and in
fourth period we watched Ratatouille. I love that movie!
So now I am sitting at home eating leftover spaghetti and meatballs in place of an after school snack, while typing away at my laptop and thinking about a good plot for a story I am writing. I don't know what it's called yet.
People, you need to get a move on! The poll will end very soon- in a week! The question is, Can you touch your toes? You can answer 'Yes', 'No', or 'I can even touch the floor'. My answer is 'No.' Yuck. I just ate a meatball that was still frozen inside!
What does this button do? Nothing? Oh, well.
Esther just walked in. Now she's dumping all the garbage in Utah on to the kitchen floor.
I'm out of books until my Mom is done editing Twilight. What should I read now?

Memorial Day

Happy Memorial day, everyone!
Yesterday's Resurant didn't quite work out. The Orange-sicles were made of frozen orange juice with popcicle sticks stuck inside, right. Wrong. The orange juice is so old it is like alcohol. The Chilled Toffee was stuck to the bottom of the container. The rest was okay, but I wouldn't sell the recipies for a lot of money. Oh, well. Maybe next time I should follow a recipie...
Today there's no school! This week is going to go by fast. No school today, tomorrow there's a 5K race at school, Wednesday is a year book signing dance during school hours, Thursday is field day (unless I got Wednesday's and Thursday's schedule mixed up), and Friday is the last day of school, which only lastes an hour and a half long! Whew!
I woke up this morning and read Fire of the Covenant for awhile, then smelled french toast (so, naturaly, I couldn't resist coming downstairs to help with the baking and eating). It was very good.
My parents keep telling me that we'll go someplace fun today. Stay tuned...

Jokes

I love Sundays! They bring good luck. I went to bed last night with a bloody nose and now it's gone. All better! My stomach is doing better, too.
I have the song "That Thing You Do" stuck in my head today and I cleaned my room. I hate how messy things get after a couple of days being sick. So, it may have taken a while to clean thoroughly, but it was all worth it, right? Right.
Church was fun; I learned about traditions and our testimonies of the Prophet. I didn't get to play the piano as accompaniment as usual, but I got to say a prayer. I need to work more on Personal Progress. Ouch. I have a toothache.
Moment of happiness- Rice Chex and Rice Krispies and Cocoa Krispies don't have wheat (sorry about the run-on sentence. Should I have said, 'Rice Chex, Rice Krispies, and Cocoa Krispies'. That's better;)) Plus, my parents really did get cherries! Apparently cherries have an excellent source of fiber. Guess what I had for breakfast? I stumped you.
I'm going through a jokes phase, and I just heard some very good ones-
Once there were two hunters- we'll call them Bill and Ted (if you check my full profile, you'll see how much I love them. Go Bill and Ted!). Anyways, Bill and Ted were walking through the forest, and, all of a sudden, Bill dropped to the ground, still. Ted's first reaction was to whip out his (bogus) cell phone and call 9-1-1. While talking to the lady at the station, he said, 'I think my friend is dead!' She just said, 'well, first thing is first, is he dead, or not. Check to see if he's dead.'
She heard a loud bullet shot, and Ted say, 'all right, what next?' Ha, ha!
Another joke! This one is my favorite...
Once upon a time, there was a monkey in a banana tree. He was very hungry. He said, 'somewhere in this banana tree, there is a magical banana, and if I eat it, I will no longer be hungry.' So he started his magical banana search.
He ate his first banana, and burped. 'Well, that wasn't it because I'm still hungry!' He dropped the peel and continued the search.
He ate his second banana, and burped. 'Well, that wasn't it, because I'm still hungry!' He dropped the peel and continued the search.
After continuing in this manner for awhile, he got to his 382nd banana. After he ate this banana, he burped, dropped the peel, and gave a satisfied grin. 'Well that must have been the magical banana. I know it was, because I'm not hungry anymore.' He looked down at the large pile of banana peels. 'Well, what a waste,' he said. 'I wish I had eaten that banana before all those other bananas. That way, I would have been able to eat them later.'
Wasn't that great? New joke.
Two guys walked into a bar. The second one said, 'I didn't see it either.' It might take you awhile to get that one!
One more joke: Did you hear about the camping trip? It was in-tents. You may need to say that one fast...
Matthew's telling me that it's time for lunch. I hope we have something containing anything besides gluten (worst source of wheat ever) and cherries.
I played The Haws Restaurant with Esther and Matthew. The specials included Chocolate Oatmeal Whippe Cake, Orange-sickles, Chilled Peanut Butter Toffee, Cherry Sugar Crumble, and Cheery Cherry Dips (all of which I made up, and without following a recipe, we whipped up). It was fun!

Still Sick

My body is having a ridiculous temper tantrum. Yes, yesterday when I thought that I was better, I was still sick. Don't worry, though. If you were anywhere near me yesterday, you probably won't catch it. It's not contagious. At least, I think it's not. I am pretty sure that I just ate something that didn't agree with me.
My family went to the mall to run some errands. I'm at home. I've already watched Donny and Marie, so I'm watching Stardust for the second time today. It is sooooo good. My favorite part is when Tristan is talking to the guard at the Wall, and the guard says, "I was told to watch this Wall, this kingdom to another world, and you are asking me to just let you through?"
Tristan's reply is, "Yes. Look, do you see another world beyond that Wall? No! It's a field. Do you see any inhuman things over there? No, because it's a field." Eventually, Tristan pretends to walk home, and when the guard isn't looking, he runs through a hole in the Wall.
I also like it when Tristan knocks aver the star and he says, "Mother?"
"Do I look like your Mother?" she asks. Of course, she's not.
This lady just called and asked if my Dad was here, and when I said he wasn't available, she asked me if my Dad was the David Haws that ran 'the Florist Shoppe' and I told her that, no, he wasn't. Once, somebody called my Dad and told him to pay extra attention to contestant number... I don't exactly know the correct number, but it was a number, okay? Anyways, there must have been a David Haws judging a beauty pageant, because that's who she thought he was.
I'm getting hungry. I haven't had anything to eat since lunch, when I had ice cream (I didn't want to eat anything too heavy). My family said that they would go to the grocery store. I hope they will get a big bunch of fruit. It is almost peach season. And cherry season. There are so many good fruits in season during summer. All my favorites, except for mangoes, but I've had a lot of mangoes lately, and we've had some bad experience with moldy ones. I'm sorry that I'm pretty much speaking gibberish today, you can probably tell that I'm sick. I normally get to the point a lot sooner than today. But today there isn't really a point.

Sick

This morning I missed all of first period and most of the second. I had a "wheat attack" (when I've had too much wheat lately and feel soooo sick). I felt very lousy, but today was a day at school that I could not miss, because I had a lot to do. So I decided that, despite my condition, I would go.
I am (almost) out of books to read and I am in dire need of one. My library won't let us check any out, my Mom isn't done editing Twilight, and my Dad hasn't quite bought Maximum Ride: the Final Warning yet. He promises he will, though, and I believe him. I am frequently adding to this blog, so with this article I have also posted list of books I am interested in reading to the side. Does anybody know how to get music playing in the background? That will be my next project- getting music working.
School was good today. I watched Remember the Titans and The Sandlot, I got one hundred percent on my math portion of SCI: Highland, my English teacher hinted that I did a very good job on a research paper I turned in a while ago, and I am keeping that 4.00 pretty steady.
I am looking forward to a long, three day weekend. I will babysit my little brother (Matthew, who is five) and sister (Esther, who is seven) for my parents, who are going to The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian tonight. I think that when Esther and Matthew are in bed, I will update my iPod. My Mom bought the Potential Breakup Song, by Aly and A.J., and I just heard a song about a boy who bought his girlfriend vanilla ice cream. I want those songs!
My Mom keeps saying she will make me hot chocolate with marshmallows (if we have any) and possibly crushed candy canes. I don't really mind that it's been a while now, because I love her anyways, with or without hot chocolate.
I've decided something biblical that Indiana Jones should find. He should find the sixteen stones that God lit up for the Brother of Jared (there were sixteen, wasn't there?).

So sorry

Yesterday and the day before, Janessa and me handed out the fliers. It went pretty well, but we had to take a break each time. On Tuesday, when we got to her house, and American Idol was on. I called in to vote for David Archuleta, and I got in 21 times!
Yesterday, I took at test in spanish and got 100%. In English we are watching Remember the Titans. I love that movie! In math I worked on CSI, and it's going pretty well. We had Young Women's and Young Men's combined, and we played human Foosball. It was so sweet, though I did get nailed in the stomach a few times. After Young Men's and Young Women's, we went to Janessa's to watch David get beaten. I was so mad. It was all my fault; I should've called twelve thousand more times.
Today, I must have missed the memo about it being movie day. We watched Finding Nemo in science, Snowmobiling with the Walkers in CTE, Newsies in dance, and in the middle of Newsies I got checked out of school. I thought it was to babysit my little brother, Matthew, while they went to see Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull with my Dad's work company, Omniture, but they wanted me to go with them. Of course, I was thrilled! A word of caution, though. I won't give away too much, but I don't think the plot was right for Indiana. He normally deals with churchy ancient artifacts, but in this movie he deals with aliens and inhuman stuff. That's unlike him. They should have done something with the... I don't know. Just not aliens! Oh, well. I liked it though. It was funny, and like all Indiana Jones movies, it had character.
I saw Lizzy's blog- mountainridgefan.blogspot.com. It's amazing, Lizzy! I love it so much. Especially the rain clouds and sunshine and airplanes background. It's inspired.
I had a piano lesson today- it went well. I was a little late due to Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, but Chris, my teacher didn't mind. I passed off a couple songs and have improved much. I also got the John Cage award- a creative composer award that was given out during an awards ceremony that I was not chosen to play for :(
I'm so sorry about not posting yesterday. Summer's coming up though, so I'll have extra time to blog then.
Further news for today: I'm working on knitting a rainbow scarf, and in school today we cleaned out our lockers. No more backpacks allowed! Also, my Dad is at school taking a final.
